The new Asus Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 Laser

Asus has announced the Asus Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 Laser. Essentially, we're looking at budget smartphones that aim to offer relatively advanced performance in terms of battery life and image quality. Both phones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has fingerprint scanner present on the back of both devices.

The Zenfone 3 Max offers more battery life at the exchange of a thicker build. The main highlight of the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is its 4,100mAh battery and the ability to charge other phones or devices. Other specs for the Zenfone 3 Max include a 5.2-inch IPS display running at 1920 by 1080 pixels, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of integrated storage, and a fingerprint scanner which is said to unlock the handset in 0.2 seconds

The colors available are Sand Gold, Titanium Gray and Glacier Silver.

The Zenfone 3 Laser is a version of the standard flagship, the Zenfone 3, but with improvements in the camera department. The Zenfone 3 Laser comes with an ultra-fast laser autofocus system and its 13MP 'PixelMaster' primary camera only needs 0.03 seconds to focus on its target. The camera will be supported by an electronic image stabilization sensor. as well as a color correction sensor. However, it will be interesting to see if the Zenfone 3 Laser can actually shoot better-looking photos than the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, which comes with a larger-resolution 23MP primary shooter. Both the Zenfone 3 Deluxe and the standard model, which is equipped with a 16MP primary sensor, integrate mechanical OIS.

Other specs of Laser are quite similar to standard model - includes a 5.5-inch display running a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, a curved display glass, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of integrated storage, and a fingerprint sensor. It is available in Glacier Silver and Sand Gold.
